I got a good tip from a Bobbi Brown consultant - you can revive the dried up gel eyeliner by mixing in a drop of their Cleansing Oil. It works, and although the cleansing oil is quite pricey it's a nice cleanser and lasts for ages. Agree the Maybelline one is just as good, but they only do the three colours and only the brown one suits me.

Both of my shades are browns, can that make a difference, maybe the colors dry out differently. I read a tip to soften gel liners (never tried it but.....) place the gel pot into a ziplock bag and put the bag into a hot bowl of water, let sit to soften.
