Neosporin comes in a topical form for the skin and a topical form for the eye. The skin version is toxic to the cornea so I would not use it in the eye as the package labeling suggests. The ophthalmic version (for use on the eye) can be obtained through prescription at the pharmacy and would be fine to place in the eye to help the cornea heal.
